Overview

Workstream technology is designed on an agile environment that enables rapid and cost-effective business process design, automation, and monitoring. Business processes can be authored by business users completely on the web. The environment incorporates a process designer, rules engine, form designer, an object data model designer and a report and dashboard designer.

Processes can be easily reconfigured to reflect business growth, changes in business conditions and customer needs. Despite this flexibility, processes running on WRA are secure and scale to the largest organizations.

Once authored, your business processes run both inside your secure intranet over any modern browser and on our freely downloadable Android and iOS apps. The apps let users outside your organization to submit new processes, approve them or simply monitor their progress.

Technical Design

Workstream RapidAutomator (WRA) runs on a scalable Java based server which interacts with users using industry standard XML and JSON interfaces. This makes it easy to interface with other systems.

The architecture has been designed with change management as a strong goal. WRA keeps private, public and archived version of all processes (together with change history), so users can continue to interact with archived versions already in progress, while new processes of the public version are initiated. All processes are designed using the BPMN notation which is stored in XML format on the server.

Users can add decision making to processes, validate form fields and perform useful actions automatically through user defined rules.
