Chairman - Walter Marlowe has an MBA in finance and international banking from New York University Graduate Business School and has attended the University of Chicago's Advanced Management Program. Walter brings more than 25 years experience in corporate banking, corporate finance and investment banking to the Workstream board, having worked with organisations such as Bankers Trust and Security Pacific Hoare Govett.
A financial and management consultant based in London, Walter is an active private and listed equity investor. His most recent consulting assignment was a multi-year project for the fixed-income arm of the world's largest electronic brokerage platform. He has extensive experience stretching back more than a decade lecturing and training within the international financial services sector. He is currently a visiting lecturer at City University Graduate Business School, and has authored a workbook on venture capital investing.
Chief Executive Officer - Aslam Aziz holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, and has attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. He brings more than quarter of a century of international business experience in five countries to the Workstream board, as well as significant experience in leading major IT development projects. During a career at Citibank, he headed up operations in trade finance and in global treasury services, before becoming CEO of a joint venture with SAP called Orbian. In the latter two roles, he led significant IT-based new product development projects.
Chief Technology Officer - Urooj Shaikh, the author of the Workstream software, has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, University of London, and has been actively involved in developing process automation and management solutions for over 10 years.
He was the principal developer for the digital printing, scanning and document management software that formed the key product of London-based software house Image Technologies Ltd. As the company's R&D director, Urooj was instrumental in keeping the company at the cutting edge of technology development in its sector throughout the 1990s, building one of the first Internet-based 'on demand' digital printing solutions and holding a patent in his name in the field of digital printing.
More recently, he was the software architect for Shazam, a company offering music recognition over cellphones. Urooj was able to help the company minimise its operating costs by using only 'open source' components in the development, which included the implementation of a supercomputing grid based around 70 Linux servers.
Director - Jack Lemonik Jack has been managing information technology and advising organizations on optimizing its use for over 30 years. For the past 12 years, he has been developing web-based products for the Banking industry. As Chief Technology Officer and a member of the management team of FXall, Jack was a key architect of FXalls successful growth from start-up to leading Internet Foreign Exchange system. He was responsible for software development, product management, technology architecture, system and network engineering, production services, customer engineering and quality management. He was also responsible for identifying and leveraging technology trends impacting FXalls business and product strategy. Jack built FXall's global product development, solutions delivery and customer engineering teams in New York, London, Singapore and Tokyo.
Jack is founder and first chairman of the FIX Global FX Committee and is now chairman of the FX Committees Education and Marketing Subcommittee. He has served on SWIFT advisory committees, has spoken before the Federal Reserve Bank and is a member of the Financial Services Technology Consortium and the Black Forest Group. Jack has spoken and written widely on Foreign Exchange technology, STP and business process automation.
Prior to joining FXall, Jack served as Vice President of Product Development and Chief Technology Officer at CrossMar, Inc (a subsidiary of Citigroup) where he was responsible for managing CrossMar's global product development and delivery teams, as well as building software and product alliances around the globe. In this role, Jacks teams built and ran systems for electronic trading of foreign exchange, equities, fixed income and derivatives, for portfolio accounting and collateral management as well as providing treasury solutions for cash management to companies around the world. Prior to joining Citigroup, Jack held a variety of positions as an entrepreneur and executive in the information technology industry.
Jack holds a Masters degree from the Columbia University School of Business as well as a Masters degree from the University of Washington where he worked on Biocomputing and visual processing. Jack received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Columbia University
Director - Kishwer Aziz is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. Before joining Workstream, Kishwer was a founding director and CEO of On Bourse Ltd, a financial services business process outsourcing (BPO) company which focused on back-office processing, reporting and accounting for the retail wealth management and private client brokerage sectors.
Kishwer previously spent 20 years in corporate banking in a number of roles with Citibank in four different countries. She led Citibank's Financial Institutions (FI) New Product Development team and was responsible for generating and implementing new business initiatives for the bank's FI clients. She subsequently served as Senior Credit Officer and Senior Analyst for the Global Investment Industry arm of Citigroup, focusing on Fund Managers, Broker Dealers, Hedge Funds, and Structured and Synthetic Products. After studying at Harvard, she returned to Citibank in 2000 as a member of the e-strategy task force established to devise and and implement Citigroup's e-strategy.
Director - Liz Brooks has nearly 20 years experience in a variety of B2B e-commerce roles in New York and London, with a focus on product management and project management of large-scale IT developments for financial services organisations. Her expertise ranges across e-commerce payment systems, B2C financial services, foreign exchange, money markets, equities, warrants and financial information systems. A graduate of Colgate University, USA, and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Liz now runs her own business providing consultancy and mentoring on product management to financial services organisations.
